If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If he had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning. Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!
I've been a little neglectful of my blog lately...
With less then two years to go until my 40th birthday bash in Hawaii this blog has turned into being more about my life in general, then my celebratory road to Hawaii. With that said, let me share with my blog family what's been keeping me away. I decided to venture out into one of my first loves, event planning. As most of you all know, I planned my fabulous wedding a few years ago to my wonderful hubby, Jeff. During the wedding reception I received a lot of compliments from family members and friends on the special aspects of our special day, as a result I've had the pleasure to have planned several events since. I love the reaction I get from a client whose wish has been fulfilled with my help. Now the icing on the cake is I also have a few weddings I'm planning in the next two years. I feel so blessed to be living a dream. If all goes well, look for me to venture out into the event planning field.
Jeff and I recently attended the 40th Birthday Party of someone who's very special as well as close to our hearts, my daughter's father, Reggie. It was the evening of Saturday, September 12th, Jeff and I was dressed and ready to party, with slight rain showers and love in the air, we entered the place where all would not soon forget. I was on double duty that day as friend and DOC of this fabulous event. Reggie's 40th and Vic’s (Reggie’s brother) 50th Birthday Extravaganza. This was one of the best birthday party’s I’ve ever attended with lots of food, fun and LOVE.. And as y'all know I've attended a few 40th b-day parties over the years. LOL! I must admit this party was special for me. Because I knew what laid ahead for Reggie and Jessica. And I wanted to share the proposal story. Please forgive me for the talking over the video as well as my daughters singing of "forever" hook...We were too excited y'all!!!
Let me set the mood...Forever, by R.Kelly is being sung by the birthday boy as the unexpected bride to be is sitting in the chair.
And here are a few more pics from the party.
Again, Congratulations to Reggie and Jessica on their engagement.
I previously mentioned I was apart of a virtual Biggest Loser Challenge over the summer here. Well we just wrapped it up and the judges have made a decision. From what the judges said it was a REALLY close contest.
And the winner is...
VeAndrea! Vee is the biggest looser winner coming in 1st place. Yours truly was in 2nd place and Christina came in 3rd. We all were awarded monetary winnings from the contest pot. Congrats to all of the participants of the contest. We all stepped up to the challenge and as a result became losers… in pounds of course.
We did it!!!
Congratulations to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners!!!
This blog was created to chronicle the events leading up to my 40th birthday while still remaining fabulous. I'm not a writer but felt the need to put my journey into print.
Please come in, take a seat and enjoy the ride.
Comments really make my day, share a few. : )

Destiny
My will shall shape my future.Whether I fail or succeed shall be no man's doing but my own.I am the force. I can clear any obstacle before me or I can be lost in the maze. My choice, my responsibility. Win or lose, only I hold the key to my destiny.

There's an old song that says, "I'm coming up on the rough side of the mountain". I'm not knocking the song but someone else on that same mountain may have had a different perspective and saw it as something to embrace, the same way Shaz embraces life On Her Way to Fabulous and 40. She's a sister at peace with her past, embracing the present, while excited about the brightness in her future. "Parents can provide their sons with an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the LORD can give an understanding wife." Proverbs 19:14. Jeffrey is sho nuff blessed!
